Avifilm is strongly committed to protecting the environment and has manifested an environment charter:

• We are committed to protecting the environment for the benefit of future generations
• To achieve this aim we have invested heavily to ensure that we recycle and reuse all waste excess material that are the by-products of the manufacturing of polystyrene anti-slip and anti-skid tray mats
• Our products are 100 % recyclable
• Despite cost disadvantages we only use natural gas in our industrial process. We have eliminated all use of CFC gas
• We accept returned used polystyrene anti-skid mats for recycling
• Our product has no paper content and therefore does not contribute to the destruction of the rain forest
• Our company vehicles run on environmentally friendly Biodiesel which is produced in Malta by the EORC Group of Companies

Recycling & Waste Management

In 2002 Avifilm embarked on a new recycling strategy, whereby all off cuts from the production of polystyrene non-slip tray mats are recycled and are blended with the raw material and re-used. Thus the company has been successful in implementing a 100% no waste policy. This achievement is in line with Avifilm’s environmental awareness commitment, which forms an overall part of Avifilm’s overall strategy.
